Frank Urbaniak
Frank Urbaniak has spent his professional career working in retail store automation operations, and has spent the past eight years as a Consulting Principal of C-CORE Consulting Group.
During that time C-CORE has focused on developing RAPID Project Toolkits, a methodology to assist retailers in defining project scope, priorities and requirements and accelerating the evaluation and selection of technology.
This has led to the release of
RAPID Project Toolkits
for POS, Workforce Management and Fresh Item Management. The toolkit methodology has been used successfully at retailers such as Sobeys, AMC Theatres, New York and Company, Coldwater Creek and The Pantry.
Before joining C-CORE, Frank spent time with Kyrus (now Agilysys) as a Consulting Principal working with major North American retailers on various store and host technology projects. At A&P, Frank was responsible for developing the Program Management Office providing governance and management of the supply chain re-engineering involving Merchandising, Logistics Store Operation and Finance.
Prior to that he was Vice President of Store Automation, responsible for the deployment of POS and store technology applications including labor scheduling, time and attendance, DSD management, store replenishment, computer-based training, ESL’s, self-checkout, scale management, loyalty programs and the Help Desk.
He began his career with Wakefern ShopRite, a retailer owned co-op, as Director of Retail Technology and a District Manager, and was involved in the startup and deployment of early generations of scanning systems and back office applications.
Frank has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Lafayette College. He is married with two teenage girls and lives in northwest New Jersey.
Frank speaks often at industry events and user conferences and just presented ‘A Fresh Future’ at NRF 2010 in NYC with Clinton Keay, the SVP and CIO from Sobeys.
